REMEMBER
We have both good times and bad times to remember this weekend in the United States of America. We call this a Holiday Day Weekend in our communities and everyone is happy for a day off work and time to be with our families. This is a time to remember how blessed we are as we bond together and thank God for all he has done for our Nation

For some it is the first Memorial Day without a love one who gave of themselves to protect our Nation. For others it is a time to keep our promise to never forget the men and women who gave of their time and many who gave their lives to see that we truly are a land of the free.

Today I want to thank God for caring for us and providing us with all we have. My dad was a WW2 and has been gone 27 years but I still thank him for serving our Nation and helping preserve our freedom.

This week I have been involved with our community as we try to raise funds to provide a Veterans Nursing Home in our region It was wonderful to watch girl scouts, young cadets, and others as they had their ceremonies of retiring our flags that have flown faithfully in our community. It was great to see the smile on both young and old as they take time to “Remember.” It gave me hope that there are still those who will carry on the task to see that we are the land of the free.

I’m proud of our community as they take time to include God in these events and allow us to pray and proclaim that we as a Nation still believe in “In God We Trust.” I know we have a few who make the headlines wanting to stop the mention of God and Jesus Christ but guess what there are more of us than them and I still program thank you Jesus, thank you God, for I know I have you in my heart, in my family, in my community, and in my Nation.

Well, enjoy your time this weekend, be safe as you drive, but about all “Remember God,” and “Remember,” you are able to do this because someone in your family or your community “gave some, and some gave all,” that you may be free. It is up to you to preserve it. Have a good day.

NOW THIS IS THE LIVING BIBLE #75305192019

SURFING WITH JESUS
Pastor Gene A. Dasher, Sr.
#75305192012

Now this is the Living Bible

His name is Tim. He has wild hair, wears a T-shirt with holes in it,
jeans, and no shoes. This was literally his wardrobe for his entire
four years of college.

He is brilliant, kind of profound and very, very bright. He became a
Christian while attending college.

Across the street from the campus is a well-dressed, very conservative
church. They want to develop a ministry to the students but are not
sure how to go about it..

One day Tim decides to go there. He walks in with no shoes, jeans, his
T-shirt, and wild hair. The service has already started and so Tim
starts down the aisle looking for a seat.

The church is completely packed and he can't find a seat.

By now, people are really looking a bit uncomfortable,
but no one says anything.

Tim gets closer and closer and closer to the pulpit, and when he
realizes there are no seats, he just squats down right on the carpet.

By now the people are really uptight, and the tension in the air is thick.

About this time, the minister realizes that from way at the back of the
church, a deacon is slowly making his way toward Tim.

Now the deacon is in his eighties, has silver-gray hair, and a
three-piece suit. A godly man, very elegant, very dignified, very
courtly. He walks with a cane and, as he starts walking toward this boy,

everyone is saying to themselves that you can't blame him for what he's going to do.

How can you expect a man of his age and of his background to understand some college kid on the floor?

It takes a long time for the man to reach the boy

The church is utterly silent except for the clicking of the man's cane.
All eyes are focused on him. You can't even hear anyone breathing.

The minister can't even preach the sermon until the deacon does what he has to do.

And now they see this elderly man drop his cane on the floor. With
great difficulty, he lowers himself and sits down next to Tim and +
worships with him so he won't be alone.

Everyone chokes up with emotion...

When the minister gains control, he says,

'What I'm about to preach, you will never remember. What you have just seen, you will never forget.'

'Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some people will ever read!'

Only if you feel led to, pass this to
people you want God to Bless...

....I DID!

IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GATHER, BUT WHAT YOU SCATTER THAT TELLS WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE!
                                      'GOD' bless...

Thanks for sharing Latella, every time I see this it blesses me

MOM'S FIRST MOTHER'S DAY IN HEAVEN #75205122012

MOM’S FIRST MOTHER’S DAY IN HEAVEN

What’s it like mom? We miss you so much. I wouldn’t ask you to come back but my phone has been wondering why we haven’t talked to each other. I can only imagine you singing in the choir or playing the organ. I can see you planting flowers and growing collard greens and other items you love so much.

How is dad? Hard to believe he has been gone 27 years. Have you talked to Uncle Hugh since he surprised us and left us unexpected? Are the streets of gold all you imagined? Do you have white robes? Have you had a chance to sit down with Jesus and ask him some of the questions you had here on earth?

Mom, are you able to look down and see us? We are trying to do our best to  remain true and faithful so we can join you when God calls us home. How many rooms are in your Mansion?  Do you have the little red car you always talked about?

I know I’m being silly but I do wonder what is going on in heaven and look forward to the day I find out first hand. One thing I know for sure “Heaven will surely be worth it all.”

Now look at God’s word and see what a good mother is really like. Proverbs 31:10-31

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates

Lord we pray for our mothers today that they may follow your word and be the woman you would have them to be in Jesus name I pray.

BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD #75105042012

SURFING WITH JESUS
Pastor Gene A. Dasher, Sr.

BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD

This thought has been on my mind as I look at our families, our communities, our nation and our world. It is found in Psalms 46:10-11. Read with me.

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

So many of us face things today we never dreamed of in our lifetime. Some of you are taking care of your aging parents or family member, this is done with love and care but it does drain everyone involved. Some of you have children that were so sweet when they were growing up and you wonder where you went wrong with them today. Your heart breaks as you see their broken families and loss of jobs or even homes.

Folks, maybe you did nothing wrong, maybe it’s just the way our world is today. Everyone is caught up in a tizzy and don’t really know when the spinning is going to stop. Many of you are like my wife who said just today she would take our sons place with his pain and health problems if she could. I’m sure many of you would do most anything to resolve situations your family faces.

But let’s take a look at it, God’s word is plain and hasn’t changed since the time the Assyrian invasion of Judah by Sennacherib in 2 Kings found in this Psalm. Everyone becomes troubled and fearful in situations we face but God still says “BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.”

We face problems and things we just don’t understand. Wars and rumors of wars will likewise continue. But in God we have victory. Let us take time today and everyday to be still and exalt him. In these moments allow God to speak peace to you. He will lead you and guide you. He said he would not forsake us. I know some days we may doubt but doubt leads to fear and defeat.

Lord, help me today to lift my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help as the Psalmist says in chapter 121. Help me to clap my hands and shout unto you with the voice of triumph as seen in Psalms 47 for the shields of the earth belong unto God; he is greatly exalted.

Oh, my, I can feel his presence as I share with you right now. He is ever near and I’m thankful I serve a great big wonderful God as the song says.
Will you lift up your eyes and your voice with me now and praise Him? Oh, Hallelujah, thank you Jesus for your sweet presence. Thank you for exalting him with me. I pray you are lifted up in Him right now.

In closing I will simply repeat BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD!
